Our client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Plant Manager to lead and oversee their mining, exploration, and gold processing operations. This key leadership role is crucial to the success of the company’s operations, requiring a unique combination of technical expertise, commercial insight, and strong leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing plant operations and driving performance, ensuring that production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead and manage mining, exploration, and gold processing operations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

· Identify and assess new mining opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.

· Oversee the management of budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and prioritization of resources.

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, local communities, and investors, to support the company’s growth and public image.

· Ensure operational compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

· Implement best practices and continuously seek opportunities for improvement across all plant operations.

· Ensure the company maintains a strong public presence and a positive image in the community and industry.

· Make strategic decisions regarding plant operations, technological upgrades, and new business ventures.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining, exploration, or gold processing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

· Strong technical knowledge of gold processing techniques, mining operations, and relevant equipment.

· Proven ability to manage large budgets and implement cost-effective strategies.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including experience handling public relations responsibilities and stakeholder management.

· Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.

· Ability to drive operational efficiency and growth through innovative approaches.

· A degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field is preferred.

· Experience working in Tanzania or similar mining regions, with a deep understanding of the local industry dynamics.

· Familiarity with the local regulatory frameworks, mining laws, and environmental guidelines.

· A strong grasp of community dynamics and the ability to navigate cultural and social aspects related to mining operations.

Salary Offered – Tsh 7,000,000 Gross + Accommodation
