Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Site Engineer based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include supervising on-site operations, coordinating with civil and structural engineers, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring safety standards. The role also involves effective communication with project stakeholders and managing contractor and subcontractor activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in on-site project management and overseeing construction activities
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and stakeholders
- Strong background in quality control practices
- Proficiency in structural engineering and civil engineering principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/DEEE or related field
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Relevant certifications and professional memberships are a plus
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards
