About the job
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tender and Contract Officer to manage and coordinate the companys tendering process and contract administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tender documents, reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and supporting procurement and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze tender opportunities from government agencies, institutions, and private sector clients.
- Prepare and compile tender documentation in accordance with applicable laws, procedures, and client requirements.
- Coordinate submission of bids, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Maintain a tender tracking system and manage tendering schedules and deadlines.
- Support negotiation and drafting of commercial and project-related contracts.
- Review contract terms and conditions and highlight potential risks.
- Ensure contract execution, implementation, and performance tracking.
- Work closely with legal advisors, project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain a register of contracts and ensure contract renewals, extensions, or closures are managed proactively.
- Monitor changes in tender regulations and procurement legislation.
- Provide regular reports on tender outcomes, contract performance, and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Procurement and Supply Chain, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in tendering, contract administration.
- Strong understanding of tender procedures in Tanzania.
- Excellent writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and tender management tools.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards.
